Kathryn Dralle
Illustrator & Graphic Designer
I am a freelance multimedia artist residing in the Chicagoland area. I am a recent graduate from Northern Illinois University and pursued two Bachelor of Arts degrees. I double Majored in Illustration, Graphic Design, and Theatre Studies for the art and theatre program. In the Northern Illinois University theatre program, I learned different technical aspects of theatre productions such as costumes, props, scenery, lighting, and directing. I mainly focused on the costume and scenery department while in the theatre program and I helped create costumes, paint scenery, play-write, and direct shows. When I am not creating art 24/7, I enjoy creating fantasy and historical costumes. In 2018, I was selected by the staff to help participate in the Tudor fashion show at the Bristol Renaissance faire. During my time working in the art program at Northern Illinois University, I have learned both graphic design elements and traditional art for my career goals. I primarily focus on Acrylic, watercolor, gouache, ink, and digital art mediums for my illustrations. My biggest inspirations for my art stems from the stories and mythologies I grew up with in my life. I love using symbolism, color, and emotion to tell stories through my art.
